Question

What do people think of the current application process of Clicklease?

Answer

  • 5/5 people had great things to say about Clicklease. They commented on how this is a great service to help a ton of companies start out. One person said, "I think I'll use this next time."
  • They liked that it wasn't biased towards people with great credit, tons of money. It was for the little guys. The people who are fighting to get their business off the ground.
  • No one thought this was a long form. 3/5 people said it was short. One person initially said it was long but then realized that was because I was asking questions.
  • "I'm asking for over $10k, so the length is whatever."
  • 1/5 people were able to find the Clicklease page from the vendor pages. Most of the vendors I showed didn't even have any links to Clicklease. I matched tried to match interviewees to vendors in their industry.
  • 2/5 people were thrown off by the maximum amount, saying this should be told before.
  • 2/5 people mentioned negative feelings about the visual design. Said it was sketchy.
  • Everyone had a problem finding the right category in the dropdown. Even people who had a clearly defined category couldn't find it for at least 10 seconds.

  • Ran the worlds first hot chocolate food truck
  • You need to be 3-5 days per week, lunch and dinner, to be profitable
  • Converted a Sprinter Van to have everything he needed
  • Funded everything on his own, except he got a loan on the Sprinter Van.
  • Most people are looking to spend $100-$250k
  • A lot of the cost is the equipment, not just the truck.
  • "I like the big call to action. But, nothing I see in the images is related to what I do as a food truck."
  • Like the screen that popped up. Wanted to be able to print the list of things he needed. He was the only person.
  • "There are specific things I need as a food truck that other people don't need. For example, I need a commissary. If people don't know that, it might be helpful to guide them in that information."
  • "Make the DBA an autofill" I think this is wrong, but it did give me an idea. Make it a click box to show the DBA. Because most people dont' need that.
  • Was able to find the industry, but it took a while. He was looking for Food Truck.
  • What is the description for?
  • Was thrown off by the max amount of $15k. Because him as a food truck, he needs a lot more than that. He also thought that the amount he could get would change based on how much money he has in revenue.
  • I want to know what the limit is before hand
  • No idea what PG/Owner meant
  • The design is not clean
  • "Show me a graphic to get me excited about what I'm going to get"

  • Runs Refresh Services, which does holiday light installs, window cleaning, and floor coatings
  • Company has 4 full time employees, Shane, and his wife.
  • Has spent over $30k in equipment using similar services to ClickLease
  • Biggest individual purchase was $14k
  • Same as cash through Tucker USA. Didn't run hard credit.
  • He found them through the company he was buying for
  • Had no problem clicking the button on the AES site.
  • He thought that the company was through the Automotive Equipment Specialists, didn't realize it was through ClickLease
  • By the time we were going through the information, he forgot what made ClickLease great
  • Doesn't want a credit pull. That stood out on the things
  • In the dropdown he could not find the right category he was in. This took a while to find.
  • Are there certain emails that don't work?
  • It feels like a lot of information.
  • "I wouldn't have given it a second thought if I was applying for this."
  • "Without you asking about it, I wouldn't have thought it was a lengthy process".
  • Didn't notice the back button
  • It looks like the steps are clickable, but they are not. Almost like Netflix when it highlights the information.
  • At the end of the interview, Shane said "At this point I don't remember if it was no interest". Meaning, he didn't remember what made Clicklease unique.
  • If that didn't work out, he would go the SBA route.
  • Someone might get distracted and forget why they were on the form.
  • Skip through this a see if I was approved.
  • "I'm asking for almost $10k so the length is whatever."

  • On the homepage, it is not designed for consumers. It is designed for vendors.
  • Dan doesn't care about the vendors we have listed in the "We work with vendors like you" section.
  • "It seems like this site isn't a load but more of a 'Hey if you need something for your business, we will help you'"
  • Working with banks for an SBA loan has taken 2.5 years. And still hasn't finished. The banks need equal collateral.
  • Had no problems finding the application
  • He could not find his Industry. After going through all the options he went to find other at the bottom. Then went back up to find it higher.
  • He was semi shocked to find out that the most you could request to find $15k. He would want to know that upfront
  • He wants to know the terms of the

  • 4/5 to make it enjoyable.
  • "When someone hits my gym's website, the goal is to have them be motivated to sign up. If Clicklease can put someone at ease by making it simple and not complicated, that would make me more motivated."
  • Put people at ease.
  • "I just cosigned on a car for my two oldest kids. The application process took two or three minutes. Within 24 hours, someone called me to tell me everything was good. They explained and made sure I knew what I was doing. The whole process took 48 hours.
  • "I think there is a lot of business owners who fit in the scenario Clicklease is trying to fix."

  • Landscaping business. Started two years ago. Has one employee that work on things while he is in school.
  • We do installs, maintenance, everything but concrete.
  • Typically he has rented because he doesn't have to pay for maintenance. Greasing, storing, hydraulics. Plus that is time.
  • This next summer he will buy a riding mower for $2.5k
  • However, he has thought of buying a dump trailer for $13k, which he rents often.
  • The tool tips do not have explanations, specifically he mentioned owner percentage.
  • On the Equipment Description, he didn't understand what to put in. The box was really big and made him feel like he needed to say a lot.
  • ClickLease implies it is leasing.
  • He wanted to know who is Clicklease because he wants to feel important. He wants to know that it is a good fit.
  • He wants to know he can trust this company because right now he doesn't feel like he can. (Full disclosure, this could be me biasing through a leading question.)
  • When he clicked on the live chat button, it doesn't look professional. "It looks like a scam a little bit". "Felt a little sketchy."
  • The chat feels like an automated machine. Is it a real person? He doesn't want to talk to a computer. When you are buying something expensive you don't want to talk a machine.
  • "Feeling big might turn people off. When you feel like a massive company, I don't necessarily want to connect. Because I want to feel important and at big companies, I don't feel important."
  • Typical to what I expect to applying for a loan.

  • She has worked for 25 years as a seamstress. First in production and now in prototyping.
  • Has spent $20k+ on equipment over the years. Has 5 sewing machines and sergers at her home.
  • Loved Clicklease: "I am going to use this next time I need something."
  • Gave great insight into people starting out. She said, "she has friends who are starting out in manufacturing clothing. They can't afford a sewing machine and often don't have credit. This would be perfect for them."
  • Unfortunately Marlene had severe technical difficulties with Zoom and also Clicklease's website. However, she still believe it was awesome. I think that speaks not just to her positivity, but also what Clicklease can provide people.
